While it seemed previously that AOKZOE would offer the A1 Pro with the Ryzen 5 7540U or an equivalent, it now appears that the A1 Pro will only be available with the Ryzen 7 7840U.
For reference, AOKZOE reports that the Ryzen 7 7840U has 8 CPU cores based on AMD’s Zen 4 architecture that deliver 3.3 GHz base and 5.1 GHz boost clock speeds. Additionally, the APU features the Radeon 780M, an RDNA 3-based iGPU with 12 Compute Units (CUs) capable of delivering up to 8.6 TFLOPs of performance (FP32). AOKZOE has paired the powerful APU with LPDDR5-6400 RAM and PCIe 3.0 x4 storage, although it notes that the device’s M.2 2280 supports PCIe 4.0 drives.
the AOKZOE A1 Pro will be available with up to 64 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage, which remains a rare combination for gaming handhelds. In short, the A1 Pro could prove a larger alternative to the ASUS ROG Ally, which has a 7-inch display. By contrast, the A1 Pro will ship with an 8-inch and 1200p panel. It appears that 64 GB of RAM will be out of scope for the ASUS ROG Ally too. AOKZOE’s A1 Pro Indiegogo campaign will begin on April 30.
